Manchester Airport CT Blocks

Client: Manchester Airport Group (MAG)

Location: Terminal One, Two and Three at Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport Group (MAG) requested that Townscape Products develop a framework that would anticipate undesirable vehicle attacks onto the crowded pedestrian plazas at the front of the air terminal, located across from the vehicle drop off points.

Project Details

Townscape Products created a range of PAS 68 CT Blocks fabricated from a one of a kind reconstituted stone blend. Extra quartz Cornish fines were added to the blend to upgrade the final finish of the natural stone.

The CT Blocks consolidated the components of structure and function perfectly. The blocks created a large visual obstruction for hostile vehicles while adding an alluring feature to the square in front of the Manchester airport terminals. The blocks also function as seats for those waiting to be picked up from the drop off point.

MAG additionally utilized the establishment of the vehicle resistance framework to make another transport and taxi drop off area intended to improve visitor travel times and improve the entire airport experience.

Townscape Products has served to support the security outside Manchester Airport's terminal structures with the establishment of CT Blocks.
